Central London’s largest conferencing and events centre will host the world renowned artist, who will be joined by a cast of stellar musicians and members of Gori Women’s Choir, on Saturday 8th December 2018.

Central Hall, situated in the heart of Westminster, has been selected as the only London venue for the extensive European tour, which will visit 12 other UK cities throughout November and December 2018. The long-awaited tour will also visit France, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Germany.

Katie and her eminent cast will take to the stage in Central Hall’s 2,000 capacity Great Hall for the evening with songs featured on the silver-certified 2016 album, ‘In Winter’. The best-selling album received top reviews in a number of UK publications including The Sunday Times, the Evening Standard and The Times.

Katie, who was born in Georgia before emigrating to Belfast at the age of eight, has recorded seven studio albums to date and is one of the most successful female UK recording artists of all time.

Paul Southern, Managing Director of Central Hall Westminster, comments: “This is a very exciting announcement for us and we are honoured to be welcoming the award-winning artist, Katie Melua, during the UK leg of her extensive European tour. Our 2,000-people capacity Great Hall, with its incredible domed ceiling, has superb acoustics, a unique atmosphere and AV facilities that are second to none. This is why we were chosen among 12 other top concert venues throughout the country to host Katie Melua and cast of musicians for her only London performance.

“Our venue has hosted many high-profile concerts including Nile Rodgers and Chic for New Year’s Eve 2017 and previously, Robbie Williams, Queen + Adam Lambert and Gary Barlow. We are looking forward to rounding off 2018 with a fantastic performance by one of the UK’s best-selling artists,” he adds.
