Over 600 senior level corporate and agency event managers and more than 100 UK and international suppliers gathered at the iconic central London venue for the bi-annual events networking exhibition.
The capital’s largest purpose-built conference centre, situated just a stone’s throw from the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey, was a fitting location for the BNC Event Show’s exhibitors which included representatives from top hotels, conference venues, catering and production companies, entertainment specialists, technology experts, furniture suppliers and airlines. Central Hall’s Robert Perks Room was used for a full educational seminar programme from keynote speakers and a range of experts from the meetings and events industry. Subjects covered included data protection, event tech, contract negotiation and crisis management – all highly relevant and topical for the events industry.
The venue’s Lecture Hall and Library buzzed with networking and knowledge sharing among the 600+ invited event professionals, who were also provided with an array of contemporary cuisine by Central Hall’s onsite caterers, Kudos, who also organised a smoothie bike. Peddling an uphill bicycle to make your own smoothie was very popular with guests.
The venue’s production partner White Light provided production support including digital branding and wayfaring signage throughout the venue. White Light also facilitated the seminars throughout the day utilising their fully integrated production facilities across audio and video. White Light brought the Great Hall to life with moving light displays and 4K ultra HD projection on a 20’ floating edgeless screen.
To round off the day, 34 luxury prizes were won by guests in the Grand Prize Draw including luxury hotel stays, designer shoes, champagne afternoon tea and pampering spa treats.
Central Hall Managing Director Paul Southern comments: “Central Hall is the perfect match for the BNC Event Show as the BNC members are the most experienced collection of event organisers in the UK, while Central Hall is the largest event space in Central London. This event enables Central Hall to showcase a venue that has held both historic and entertaining events for over 100 years. Central Hall hosted the first meeting of the United Nations in 1946 – more recently we hosted the Bill Gates Foundation and only last month the James Corden Late Late show. Who knows, the next historic event may come from one of the buyers who were here today.”
Kim Paulden, Managing Director of BNC Event Shows, adds: “Central Hall lends itself to a large event such as the BNC Event Show, it is such a spectacular space in a very convenient location for our 600+ guests. This venue played a huge part in the success of the 11th BNC Event Show and we have already received excellent feedback about Central Hall’s fantastic events team.”
