Hello readers, I am Charlotte the Food & Beverage Development Director for KUDOS and based at Central hall Westminster, here is my guest blog for December…..
Yes, it is that time of year again! The Christmas trees and decorations have been put up and decorated to make Wesley’s café is looking truly festive.
To celebrate this wonderful time of year, we also have a range of delicious Christmas treats for you to enjoy including:
- Amaretti brownie
- Ginger & cranberry tiffin
- Christmas tree shortbread
- Mincemeat & almond slice
- Classic mini panetton
All of which can be enjoyed with one of our Emir’s (Restaurant Manager) delicious festive hot drinks – gingerbread latte and peppermint hot chocolate.
We pride ourselves on using the best possible fresh, seasonal ingredients so you will also see yuletide notes in all of our dishes, including the salad bar. Obviously, it wouldn’t truly be Christmas without our famous roast turkey lunch with all the trimmings, which will be on offer in the café from the 13th December.
‘Give a little back this Christmas’
We are also proud to announce that we have launched a very worthy donation project this year. Christmas is a joyous time of year for most, but for some it can be extremely difficult, for many reasons, and it is so important to remember to help others, to pass on some of the joy and to generally share in the festive spirit. For this reason, we are inviting Wesley’s café customers to leave a gift under the Christmas tree, all of which will be donated to St Vincent’s Family Project.
St Vincent’s Family Project is located in the building just next door to the café and is a charity ‘providing space, help, support and community to young families who are isolated, in poverty or vulnerable’.
If you would like to donate a gift, unisex toys for children aged 0-5 would be ideal, but all appropriate gifts would be welcomed. Sadly, for security purposes all gifts must NOT be wrapped
To say, ‘thank you’ for donating Kudos, who manage Wesley’s Café will offer a complimentary festive treat with any tea or coffee to all ‘gift givers’
We will be collecting from Saturday 30th November until Monday 16th December, ready for the St Vincent’s family Christmas party on Tuesday 17th December.
