Central Hall Westminster and our AV Production partners, White Light have created and introduce our new packages for hybrid events and hybrid meetings,
Like so many in our sector, we have been using the time throughout lockdown to focus on delivering some amazing virtual events, while preparing for the long-awaited return to live. The Central Hall team have implemented various measures to ensure that the venue is fully safe and secure to host your live events as we continue to ease out of lockdown.
The impact of the pandemic has inevitably seen the future of events landscape shift. As we all set off on the road to re-starting live experiences in a post-pandemic world, hybrid solutions offer many benefits to consider. It is now possible to achieve meaningful interaction and engagement with both in-person and remote audiences simultaneously. Different technologies can be integrated, enabling user participation in a range of facets, such as polling and live Q&A. While capacities for live events remain somewhat restricted, audience and content reach extend beyond the walls of a host venue. Hybrid also helps with your green agenda, reducing the need for travel. With this in mind, our in-house Venue Services team has been busy behind-the-scenes, devising a range of options to facilitate hybrid meetings and events at the magnificent Central Hall.
We understand that hybrid events are a relatively new concept for many organisers, so we have developed packages designed to suit a variety of different requirements. In a nutshell, a hybrid event is a presentation delivered to two sets of audiences simultaneously – those present in the room and those watching online. Whilst the streaming of events has been around for a long time, the subtle difference with hybrid is the increased level of interactivity, from both the remote attendees and speakers. Hybrid events come in all shapes and sizes; however, all are captured using a camera and broadcast to a remote audience.
Our dedicated packages combine three key components: the technical equipment needed for both the live and hybrid elements of the event, as well as an online distribution platform. The wealth of spaces to choose from at Central Hall, combined with the diversity in size, scale and layout, offer infinite flexibility for planning your hybrid event. To give planners as much flexibility as possible to suit their specific needs and budget, we have streamlined our packages to offer:
- Options designed to suit small to large-scale live audience capacities (up to 2000 pax).
- Silver, Gold or Platinum packages based on your desired range of camera perspectives and level of audience interactivity.
- Platforms ranging from simple embed solutions, to a custom-built dedicated microsite.
We are now approaching the six-year anniversary of our residency as Central Hall’s in-house production service partner. During this time, we are proud of the investments we have made to enhance the technical infrastructure by installing state-of-the-art lighting, audio and video systems throughout. This has all served to make a Grade II* listed building one of the most technically modern, historic venues in the UK.
In recent years, the Great Hall has provided a stunning setting for live streamed events and those with a hybrid audience. In December 2019, NATO Engages: Innovating the Alliance saw some 1600 policy makers, officials from think tanks and universities, and members of the public in physical or virtual attendance. On a smaller scale, the MET Police delivered their 2020 counter terrorism briefing, with a small socially distanced audience in Aldersgate, as well as a remote audience joining via live stream.
Whatever your requirements for hybrid meetings and events, our expert team are here to help with your transition to the new normal. Contact us to discuss your brief and we look forward to working with you once again at Central Hall Westminster.
